Inaugural Hatboro Healthy Hike Walk Set To Take Place Jan. 22
HATBORO, PA — Get ready, fitness enthusiasts.
The inaugural Hatboro Healthy Hike Walk is scheduled to commence on Jan. 22.
The event, which is designed to be an annual outing, will give neighborhood folks a chance to start out the new year right — by getting into shape while enjoying the local outdoors.
The walk will be hosted by Jillian Foley, who is the owner of local nutrition consulting business Nutritionista.
The program is being held in conjunction with WalkWorks, which is a program designed to improve the health of local communities through physical activity.
WalkWorks, which is a collaboration between the Pennsylvania Department of Health and the University of Pittsburgh Graduate School of Public Health, expanded into the Hatboro community back in 2019.
At that time, Hatboro Borough Manager Diane Hegele was quoted as saying that the community was excited to be joining the program, which “encourages our constituents to take steps toward a healthier lifestyle.”
Hatboro was one of the first communities in Montgomery County to have a designated WalkWorks route.
The Hatboro Healthy Hike Walk along Hatboro’s WalkWorks route will take place Jan. 22 beginning at 11 a.m.
Attendees are asked to meet at Borough Hall, (414 South York Road), at the start of the program.
